Miss Houston USA/Miss Houston Teen USA 2008 Elise Horner was crowned Miss Houston USA 2008! The beautiful and intelligent Miss Houston USA will compete for the title of Miss Texas USA® 2009, televised live on June 29, 2008 from Laredo. First runner-up was Nicole Daaboul, second runner-up, Most Photogenic and Swimsuit Winner was Brittany Tiner, Taylor Britton was third runner-up and fourth runner-up was Lauren Sapaugh. Additional special award winners in the Miss Division included Shante’Ned, Miss Congeniality and Desiree Gonzales was named Evening Gown Winner. Hannah Kirkland walked away with the title of Miss Houston Teen USA 2008 and also was selected as the Evening Gown Winner in the Teen Division. The pretty blonde cheerleader at Friendswood High School will represent the Greater Houston Area at the state competition, Miss Texas Teen USA® held in Houston, Thanksgiving weekend. First runner-up was Natalie Martino of Tomball, Christine Nwabeke was second runner-up and was the Swimsuit Winner, third runner-up was Ashton Theiss also of Tomball and fourth runner-up was Annie Xiong of Clear Lake. Most Photogenic was Natalie Torres and Kasey Acosta was voted as Miss Congeniality. Mr. Amin Kabani was the choreographer and producer of the show. The talented Barbara King Dance Company under the direction of Barbara King entertained the audience and were featured performers with all the contestants, Brooke Daniels, Miss Houston USA 2007 and Chelsea Degueyter, Miss Houston Teen USA 2007 in the captivating opening production.
