Bay Area Pageant Weekend
The Miss Bay Area / Miss Bay Area Teen Pageant was held on July 9-10, 2010 at the University of Houston Clear Lake, Bayou Theatre. Contestants from the Greater Bay Area / Houston competed for the title, cash and prizes. The show was hosted by Nicole O’Brian, MISS TEXAS USA 2003 and MISS TEXAS TEEN USA 2000, and co-hosted by MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2010 Chelsea Morgensen. Special guests were Miss Bay Area Teen 2009, Jessica Mitchell, and Miss Bay Area 2009, Nikki Golyer.
Thamer Kay Favor of Houston was crowned Miss Bay Area 2010. Thamer is no stranger to pageantry. She was Second Runner-up to Miss Houston 2010 and placed Second Runner-up in the state competition to MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2007. First Runner-Up to Miss Bay Area was Tara Crawford, Second Runner-Up and Evening Gown Winner was Peyton Saverance, Third Runner-Up and Most Photogenic was Kallye Mitchell and Fourth Runner-Up and the Swimsuit Fitness Award Winner was Jenny Smith. The contestants selected Caroline Hinze as Miss Congeniality in the Teen Division and Peyton Saverance in the Miss Division.
Raigan Harris was crowned Miss Bay Area Teen and also won the Evening Gown Award. Finalists included First Runner-Up Lindsey Cowsert and Swimsuit Fitness Winner, Second Runner-Up was Hannah Kirkland, Third Runner-Up and Most Photogenic was Chelsea Wallace and Fourth Runner-Up was Alexis Eldridge. Raigan’s pageant career began this year when she competed in Miss Houston Teen Pageant where she was a semi-finalist. Raigan is a senior and varsity cheerleader at Lamar High School. Raigan lives with her parents in Pearland, Texas.
Miss Bay Area Teen and Miss Bay Area will represent the Bay Area / Bayou City, if they meet all of the eligibility requirements in their respective state pageants, MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® or MISS TEXAS USA® 2011, produced by the Crystal Group which is part of the prestigious MISS USA®, MISS UNIVERSE® and MISS TEEN USA® pageant system owned in partnership by the Donald Trump Organization and NBC Enterprises.
