Bay Area Pageant Weekend
The Miss Bay Area / Miss Bay Area Teen Pageant was held on July 8-9, 2011 at the University of Houston Clear Lake, Bayou Theatre. Contestants from the Greater Bay Area / Houston competed for the title, cash and prizes. The show was hosted by Nicole O’Brian, MISS TEXAS USA® 2003 and MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2000. Special guests were the reigning Miss Bay Area 2010, Thamer Favor, and Miss Bay Area Teen 2010, Raigan Harris.
Erin Michelle Kay of Galveston was crowned Miss Bay Area 2011 and also won Most Photogenic. Erin is a 2009 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and calls Galveston Island home. She is the Director of Membership Development for the Galveston Chamber of Commerce. First Runner-Up to Miss Bay Area and Swimsuit Fitness Award Winner was Kirstin Collier, Second Runner-Up and Evening Gown Specialty Winner was Peyton Saverance, Third Runner-Up was Krystal Malloy and Fourth Runner-Up was Kelli Harral. The contestants selected Desiree Gonzales as Miss Congeniality in the Miss Division.
Madison Lee of Houston was crowned Miss Bay Area Teen 2011 and also won the Swimsuit Fitness Award. Madison is a senior with a 4.0 GPA at Northland Christian School and has over 300 hours of community service. She competed last year at MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® where she placed 4th Runner-up to MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2011. First Runner-Up and Most Photogenic was Caitlyn Rasmussen, and Second Runner-Up and Evening Gown Winner was Niki Noblett. The contestants also selected Niki Noblett as Miss Congeniality in the Teen Division.
Miss Bay Area Teen and Miss Bay Area will represent the greater Bay Area, if they meet all of the eligibility requirements in their respective state pageants, MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® or MISS TEXAS USA® 2012, produced by the Crystal Group which is part of the prestigious MISS USA®, MISS UNIVERSE® and MISS TEEN USA® pageant system owned in partnership by the Donald Trump Organization and NBC Enterprises.
